Pimpwar IRC Howto

Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a protocol designed to help you waste your time.

At work? Great! At home? Better! In the car looking for hookers? Hmm. No comment.

Pimpwar has an IRC server set up at irc.pimpwar.com on port 6667. Although you can chat with us through the Java Chat you were just at, you will enjoy chatting much more if you use a seperate chat program, otherwise known as an IRC Client.

Download a chat program

Windows:

mIRC: http://www.mirc.com

Macintosh:

Ircle: http://www.ircle.com

Configure your chat program

Server: irc.pimpwar.com
Server Port: 6667
E-mail: something@somewhere.com (doesn't have to be real)
Nick name: Badasspimp (choose a nickname for yourself)
Alternative nick: Badasspimp2 (if the original isnt available)

Connect!

To connect to our chat server click the Connect button or type the following in a text box within your chat program:
/server irc.pimpwar.com 6667
Our main room is #pimpwar. To get in it type "/join #pimpwar" in your chat program.
